The bore hole well at Agata was dug in 2005.
During the Walk for Water in September last year we were joined by Archdeacon Abiodun Ogunyemi . He was able to tell us about his home Diocese of Kaduna in Northern Nigeria (with which we are linked).
He told us about the plight of villagers who do not have an adequate water supply and we were able to raise enough money for a borehole for the village of Agata.

Abiodun took me to Agata. It is a very isolated community and they are excited about the prospect of having a borehole. It will transform their lives. At present the water supply is some distance from the village and not very hygienic. Thank you to all those who have made this possible. Revd John Burrell
Below is the completed well taken by Jim Saxton when working in kaduna September 2006, and shows on the right Mr. Rowland Shaba who is the Project Manager for the diocese.
